Michael T. Blazei, CPA says the biggest compliment from people who meet him and later find out what he does, is, “You don’t seem like an accountant to me!” He joined PWB in 2004 and serves clients who need financial statements and consults on all matters concerning Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Mike’s expertise covers mergers & acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, and complex debt and equity transactions.
One of the things Mike admires in others is a combination of intelligence and calmness that relieves stress, and his clients appreciate those same qualities in him. A magna cum laude graduate of Saint Cloud State University and A Dale Carnegie graduate who received the program’s Highest Award for Achievement, Mike’s leadership in the audit group is driven by a desire to help people and is rewarded by the trust clients show in him.
Mike appreciates the work/life balance he finds in the accounting world. The youngest boy in a family of eight kids, he grew up in “Nordeast” Minneapolis with plenty of siblings to form a basketball team or a golf foursome, so it makes sense that Mike has a passion for sports. Card games, board games and puzzles are reserved for the times he’s ready to relax. He is an active member of the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce and is a Wayzata Boys Basketball Association board member and league assistant.
Duck duck, gray duck or duck, duck goose? Duck, duck, gray duck, obviously! Is this a trick question? Duck, duck, goose sounds like something made up out of Wisconsin.
