Kathy L. Kirkeby joined PWB’s Audit & Accounting group in 2016. Her specialties include employee benefit audit and PCAOB for Broker Dealers, as well as the construction industry. When clients first come to Kathy, they’re looking for the proactive advice they’re not currently receiving. Her goal is to turn that around and watch her clients flourish!
Kathy loves working with clients to provide timely, accurate financials. Her mission is to not only provide solid metrics but also help clients interpret the numbers, helping them make sound business decisions. She looks for areas to improve or adjust and explains in plain terms what actions can be taken to improve cash flow, bank covenant compliance or profit margin.
A graduate of Augustana University, Kathy has the impressive distinction of passing all four parts of the CPA exam in one sitting. She grew up on a farm near Clark, South Dakota and credits her success on her parents’ examples of integrity and hard work.
Speaking of distinctions, Kathy is a member of the very small club of people who have been on all seven continents! When she’s not traversing the world, Kathy fishes, camps, decorates her home and explores her Norwegian heritage. Her perfect free day would be spent golfing, baking and relaxing with her boyfriend and his son.
